Materials:
- Whiteboard and markers
- Copies of the U.S. Constitution and state, territorial, and provincial constitutions
- Access to the Internet to review the Additional Resources
Introduction (5 minutes):
- Begin by asking the students to share what they know about the U.S. Constitution.
- Write their responses on the whiteboard.
- Explain that the U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land and provides the framework for the federal government.
- Inform the students that they will be comparing and contrasting the U.S. Constitution with state, territorial, and provincial constitutions.
