Steady demand for teachers and shifting teacher licensing policies have created many pathways to gaining a license to teach business education. This session discusses the challenges, successes, and unmet needs of business education teachers who entered the field via alternate licensing pathways. For alternative licensure pathways to play a role in meeting the need for high quality business teachers, the unique needs of these teachers must be better understood and addressed through targeted supports and professional development.
