Describing the Status of Post-Secondary Business Education Programs and Offerings in 2020
Continued changes have occurred to offerings of post-secondary business education programs, and the researchers of this study wanted to learn more about the current data associated with each college/university offering a business education program across all 50 states. The purpose of this research study is to describe the changing landscape of business education licensure and to describe which college/universities are offering business education programs that lead to licensure in 2020. Also, programs could be offered at the undergraduate or graduate levels. Overall, two research questions guided the study: 1. Which colleges/universities still offer a business education program? 2. What is the profile of each college/university offering a business education program including where it is housed (such as the College of Education); type(s) of the program including a standalone program or program area, and whether it was undergraduate, graduate, or both; how many associated faculty; the number of credit hours needed to be completed; and structure of the program and whether the program was fully online, hybrid, or offered only face to face.
