From Uncertainty to Insight: Designing Student Learning Journeys Through Action
Overview
We will explore how meaningful learning emerges through action, reflection, and iteration. Using real world learning journeys from our simulations (Interpretive Simulations), we will examine how students move from uncertainty to clarity as they make decisions, experience consequences, and connect outcomes back to core business concepts. Together, we will discuss what an effective learning journey looks like, how it fits naturally within existing courses, and how faculty and institutions can use simulations to support deeper learning and measurable student outcomes.

Learning Objectives:
  • Explain how action, reflection, and iteration contribute to meaningful student learning and decision-making.
  • Analyze how simulation-based learning experiences help students move from uncertainty to understanding by connecting decisions to business concepts.
