This session provides simple but effective strategies to reach out to parents and students at any level K-Post-Secondary. Positive phone calls and communication home lay the foundation for great working relationships among the many stakeholders in your classroom. Contacting home is easier than you think! Reaching out to parents or students may feel like an overwhelming and uncomfortable task, but it is not. Connecting with students and their families makes them feel like part of your community. This creates a truly positive impact on them, you, and the school environment. Research, scripts, simulations, and keeping records for reporting to supervisors will be incorporated into this presentation.
Attendees will:
1. Explore Effective Ways to Reach out positively to students and families.

3. Identify strategies to help themselves be most efficient in their delivery of positive communication.
