Business Law: The Bill of Rights

A high school business law lesson on the freedoms in the Bill of Rights and key constitutional amendments beyond it.

Objectives:

  • Summarize the basic freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights.
  • Understand constitutional amendments beyond the Bill of Rights.
  • Identify the relevance of these constitutional principles.

Age Level: Late secondary school

National Standards: Complies with NBEA Business Law 2023 Standard I.1.B Analyze the relationship between ethics and the law and describe the law’s sources, the structure of the court system, different classifications of procedural law, and different classifications of substantive law:

  • I.1.B.13 Summarize the basic freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights
  • I.1.B.14 Critique several key constitutional amendments beyond the Bill of Rights
