Entrpreneurship - Entrepreneurship and Community Service

A middle school entrepreneurship lesson on spotting opportunities in social trends and making a difference through community service.

Objectives:

  • Recognize trends in society that can lead to entrepreneurial opportunities.
  • Understand how one can make a difference in their community by integrating community service, civic responsibility, and engagement.

Age Level: Middle school/early secondary school

National Standards:
Complies with NBEA Entrepreneurship 2023 Standard II.A.4: Recognize how one can make a difference in one's community by integrating community service, civic responsibility, and engagement.

Materials:

  • Computer and projector or a smartboard to display presentation slides
  • Internet access to research successful entrepreneurs who have integrated community service into their business models
  • Printed copies of the vocabulary list, worksheets, and quiz for each student
