Information Technology: Creating a Training Program for End Users

Students design a training program for users of a specific technology and deliver a sample session, practicing technical and people skills.

Objective:

  • Develop a comprehensive training program for end users of a specific technology, applying their knowledge of technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Deliver a sample training session to their peers.

Age Level: Middle school and early/late secondary school

National Standards:
Complies with NBEA Information Technology 2023 Standard XVI.1.2 Tutor and support others in information technology skills.

Materials:

  • Whiteboard, markers
  • Projector or screen (optional)
  • Laptop or computer for presentation (optional)
  • Handouts or worksheets
  • Group work materials (paper, pens, markers, etc.)
  • Sample technology devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets, laptops) for demonstration purposes (optional)
