Leadership competency, composed of a number of social skills, is vital for the workforce. Increasingly, work groups, customers, and supply chains are geographically dispersed, requiring employees to have competency to communicate and work effectively with culturally different others. Therefore, social skills are essential for organizational success. To address this gap, the Purdue Cyber Apprenticeship Program Leadership Academy is developed to facilitate leadership competency development by immersing participant apprentices in various cyber-related workplace situations through guided critical self-reflection and ePortfolio development.
