Relations, Rigor, Resilience, and Reflection - the new "R 's" of Education
The new four R's of education, relationships, rigor, resilience and reflection, and why learning depends on them in any setting.
This session will address the new "R's" of education: Relationships, Rigor, Resilience, and Reflection that must be present in every situation (face-to-face, virtual, online) before learning can occur. Relationships connect educators with students and students with material; rigor challenges students to try difficult tasks and put failure into perspective; and resilience, creates opportunities to build on failure and experience success; and reflection concludes the 360 degree learning process by helping students develop forward-thinking confidence and become life-long learners.
